We'll even supply you with a handy outline with the Bible passages typed out so you can follow along. What you learn on the weekend, you'll be able to put to use during the week – guaranteed!

About Our Pastor - Rob Tibbitts
Rob Tibbitts grew up in Houston, Texas. Growing up in a Christian home, Rob was exposed to the claims of Christianity at a very early age. However, it was not until he was 18 years of age that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. Amazingly enough, this relationship with God was begun on a youth mission trip to Mexico. Four hundred miles into Mexico, as Rob spoke through an interpreter to a group of kids gathered under a tree, the Holy Spirit used Rob’s words to bring about the conviction that he was "religious", but that he lacked a personal, saving relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It was later that night that Rob surrendered his life to the lordship of Christ.

Within a year, at a summer camp for teens, Rob felt God calling him into full-time Christian ministry. He served several churches in the Houston area as he completed a double-major in Christianity and Business Management at Houston Baptist University. After graduating Houston Baptist University, he served as the Minister to Students at First Baptist Church of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

On November 3, 1990, he married the former Janet Carter of Lake Charles, Louisiana, following a 4 ½ year dating relationship. Rob’s preparation for ministry continued at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. Rob has served Crossroads Baptist Church as their pastor since 1993. He is currently working on his Doctorate through the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Rob and Janet have three young children who love to fish and ride their little dirt bike. Vinton is the only home they have known, and Rob and Janet like it that way! The Tibbitts family can’t imagine a better place to live and serve the Lord. Their prayer is that God might allow them to serve Him from right there in Vinton the rest of their years in ministry. The people of Crossroads have truly become their extended family.
